How to Install an EzyJamb Inswing (ISD)

Note: Installers should download and fully review the EzyJamb ISD Installation Instructions and Datasheet prior to installation.
For more information, watch the video below or review the written instructions:
What you will receive with your EzyJamb Inswing:
2 x ISD Stiles (1 x hinge side, 1 x latch side)
1 x ISD Header (Floor-to-ceiling, full-height doors will not include this section)
Hardware (hinges (per your order), screws, latch plate, dust box)
Hardware Packs:
- Hinges
- Screws (the relevant screws for AU will be packaged separately for concealed hinge orders)
- Cover plates (if concealed hinges)
Latch Kits:
- Latch plate
- Dust box
- Screws
EzyJamb Inswing Installation Procedure:
- Ensure that the stud opening is square and level and has the appropriate clearance for your specifications (see installation instructions).
- Install the head piece, then use locator tabs to install stiles. Fasten hinge side, making sure jamb is level, then screw at 200mm centres up the stile, screwing back through plasterboard into the stud work. Double screw all ends and beside hinge position both above and below hinge.
- Ensure that the two vertical sections are spaced evenly at the required distance.
- Ensure the perforated side strips sit flat against the plasterboard to enable the jamb sections to be easily set into the wall surface. All the corners must be taped and plastered/jointed in. Finish the jamb with approved plaster/jointing compound. Hang the door in position leaving about 3mm clearance from the top and hinged side using the EzyJamb Standard or Concealed Hinges. Surface mount the striker plate into position to align with the latch plate punching.
- Once the jamb is installed, hang the door with the help of a foot-operated door lifter to ensure proper fit of the jamb and hinges. Once adjusted, remove the door, plaster-in the jamb, sand down, and paint with the rest of the wall.
- The door can now be re-hung for a seamless, flush finish.
RocYork Concealed Hinge Stud Opening Detail: Prepare a 25mm thick packer fixed to the hinge side of the jamb stud. Route the packer to create clearance cut-outs at hinge locations. The packer avoids cutting into the structural stud and maintains frame strength. Refer to the RocYork RY60 Installation Instructions document for more information.
Note: These instructions demonstrate the methods for installing an EzyJamb ISD as per the Australian specifications. Please view the USA EzyJamb ISD Installation Instructions if you are installing in North America.
