Roll Forming Industry Collaborative Conference 2018

Read Time: 1 min

It’s great to have been included in the Roll Forming Industry Collaborative Conference 2018 at Deakin University this week, at Deakin’s Waurn Ponds Estate, with beautiful views of the rolling Bellarine Peninsula countryside.

The purpose of this conference is for industry and university speakers to share their knowledge and expertise, working together to find new and improved ways to tackle the challenges facing the industry in Australia and internationally.

The roll forming industry is currently facing demands for shorter lead times, more complex designs and new high strength materials, so it is imperative that we are constantly improving our understanding of the forming process and the increased application of virtual engineering at the design stage.

Deakin’s cutting-edge Flexible Roll Forming Facility was officially launched by Prof. Sue Thomas, CEO Australia Research Council. Kudos to Dr Matthias Weiss and his team for pulling together a collaborative, informative, one-of-a-kind event, and for their ongoing dedication and passion to Australia’s roll forming industry.
